(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- On August 14th, Montclair Film revealed the artwork for the fourteenth annual Montclair Film Festival. The bright, positive campaign was created by Philadelphia artist and creative entrepreneur, Kariem Young. Kariem used his vibrant, pop art style and fun colorful characters to create this year's festival poster. The image symbolizes how people from different perspectives can come together and find joy in a collective experience.

Kariem Young is a Philadelphia-based visual and tattoo artist, and the creative force behind Loveville—a social impact art brand using bold, whimsical design to spread messages of love, empathy, and unity. Known for his vibrant acrylic paintings and energetic compositions, Kariem blends traditional brushwork with digital elements to create work that’s both modern and deeply human.

His art lives beyond the canvas through public murals, apparel, and community collaborations. As a tattooist, Kariem brings the same intentionality and emotion to skin as he does to large-scale projects. He’s partnered with brands like Amazon, Made in America Festival, Philadelphia International Airport, and Tiny Room for Elephants, using creativity as a vehicle for joy, healing, and cultural connection.

“In Loveville, every splash of color is a little act of love. I’m thrilled to bring that spirit to the Montclair Film Festival, sharing art that connects hearts and communities,” expressed Artist Kariem Young.

“Kariem’s bright colorful characters exude the positivity and joy that we all need more of right now. They all come together around a common love – in our case, a love of film. We can’t wait to see their energy throughout Montclair this fall,” remarked Montclair Film Marketing Director, Jill Montague

The 14th annual Montclair Film Festival will take place October 17-26, 2025. The full festival schedule will be announced in late September. Tickets go on sale to Members on September 29 and to the General Public on October 3. For more information, visit montclairfilm.org.
