Bridge Club Theatre Company presents "Little Women: A New Play"

originally published: 08/05/2025

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Bridge Club Theatre Company presents Little Women: A New Play August 8-9, 2025 in the River Time Amphitheater at Save Barnegat Bay Eco Center in Toms River. It's a bold, contemporary reimagining of Louisa May Alcott's timeless novel, brought to life by a passionate team of local artists and storytellers.

This production is a fresh take on the classic as directors, Brian Beehler and Emma Cooper, created their own original adaptation of the story, infusing it with new energy while still honoring the heart of Louisa May Alcott’s work. It offers a fresh lens on womanhood, creativity, and the complexities of growing up in a changing world.

Developed and produced by Bridge Club Theatre Company, this production reflects their commitment to new work and local voices. With original writing, intimate staging, and dynamic performances, Little Women: A New Play invites audiences to rediscover a beloved story in a way that feels urgently present and deeply personal.

The cast features: Emma Cooper (Jo March), Susannah Brown (Amy March), Emily Reid (Beth March), Jolie Regan (Meg March), Brian Beehler (Laurie) and many other talented young actors who round out the rest of the March family and ensemble.

Tickets are $7 and available for purchase online.  The River Time Amphitheater is located at The Save Barnegat Bay Eco Center (117 Haines Road) in Toms River, New Jersey. Tickets will also be available at the show.

In the case of rain, they will hold an alternate performance on Sunday, August 10 at 7:00pm. Should both regularly scheduled shows be canceled, they will hold a matinee performance on that Sunday at 2:00pm in addition to the night performance.

They will be in touch as soon as possible via email with any weather related changes. While they will do their best to accomodate weather cancellations, please note they are unable to offer refunds for any reason at this time.
