NJ Rep Presents the World Premiere of "How My Grandparents Fell In Love" 
(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) presents the world premiere of How My Grandparents Fell in Love, a heartwarming and timely new musical by playwright Cary Gitter and composer Neil Berg, directed by NJ Rep Artistic Director SuzAnne Barabas. The production runs from July 17 through August 10, 2025.
Skyline Arts and Art House Productions present "13 Jr., The Musical" 
(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Skyline Arts Summer Intensive Program (Grades 4-12) and Art House Productions present "13 Jr." The Musical from July 26-27, 2025. A true coming-of-age musical, 13 JR. is made especially for adolescents with a universal message about friendship and being true to yourself.

Wharton Players to Hold Auditions for Beetlejuice JR. 
(BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ) -- The Wharton Performing Arts School (PAS) will hold auditions for the upcoming Wharton Players production of Beetlejuice JR., a hilarious and heartwarming Broadway hit based on Tim Burton's beloved film. Auditions will be held on September 5-6, 2025 for students ages 8-15, with performances scheduled for December 5-7 in the Wharton Black Box Theater.

First Look Review - "Abraham's Boys" 
The makers of 1922's Nosferatu ran into trouble with the estate of Bram Stoker for pilfering the plot of his career-defining novel 'Dracula'. Robert Eggers had no such worries with his recent remake of that silent classic, as Stoker's novel has long been in the public domain at this point, meaning anyone is free to adapt it or use its characters. We've seen scores of adaptations of Dracula, but few filmmakers have strip-mined the novel for its supporting characters, the Hugh Jackman headlined Van Helsing a notable exception.

Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon to orbit Rahway in October 
(RAHWAY, NJ) -- Museum of the Moon, a touring artwork by U.K. artist Luke Jerram, will be presented inside the majestic Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) in October 2025. This is the first time Museum of the Moon will be presented in New Jersey and one of a handful of times it has been exhibited on the East Coast in the United States.

Ready, Set, Eat - Monmouth County Fair's Pie-Eating Contest 
(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Taste some old-fashioned fun during the pie-eating contest held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the 50th Annual Monmouth County Fair. This fun and delicious tradition will once again use pies donated by Wemrock Orchards. Children age 12 and under will compete at 12:30pm and ages 13 and up at 12:45pm. On-site registration for both contests begins at 11:00am at the Main Stage. All participants receive a t-shirt to wear during the competition. Winners take home a trophy.
