(HADDONFIELD, NJ) -- An original musical, Rocky Bumps, will hold a staged reading on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Haddonfield Theater Arts Center Studio. The musical is a coming-of-age tale steeped in romance, risk, and retro charm. The reading begins at at 2:00pm.
Featuring talent on and offstage all deriving from Haddonfield, the music and lyrics are by Matt Eyles and Antony Post, with a book by Post. The story is based on the works of Aaron Domenico. Rocky Bumps blends classic Americana with sharp wit and emotional depth. The cast includes a talented ensemble of Haddonfield Memorial High School students and alumni, including Elena Domenico who plays the role of her real-life grandmother.
The show follows a young man in 1960s Philadelphia who finds himself caught between his first love and a high-stakes plan to steal soiled cash from the U.S. Mint to feed his gambling addiction. As Rocky navigates friendships, family tension, and the lure of fast money, the musical explores what it really means to bet everything for a shot at freedom.
Haddonfield Theater Arts Center Studio is located at 33 Kings Highway E in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
