(MILFORD, NJ) -- River Union Stage presents a look at the final development stage of Paper Birds by Hunterdon County resident Robert Miller II on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at The Vault. This is a new play that offers up five vividly alive stories. Showtime is 4:00pm.
The specifics of these unique worlds and their inhabitants reveal universal truths. What happens when human beings face critical points where a choice, one of at least two options, must be made?
Depending on the level of consciousness at play, we see that lead to divergent outcomes in life. This new work explores - with intelligence, humor, and imagination – matters which speak to our current times.
This is a final look before going to a full production. Paper Birds is a full length show made up of five short one-acts. While the individual acts have had readings on two separate occasions, the playwright has never seen a reading of the full script. This is a unique opportunity to join the playwright in first experiencing the full arc of Paper Birds and offer your feedback on his work. The staged reading is directed by Steven Dennis.

Founded in 2002, River Union Stage (RUS) is an Equity theater offering classic and modern plays as well as the works of new and emerging playwrights.
