originally published: 06/05/2025

(CLIFTON, NJ) -- The County of Passaic, in partnership with the PALS Plus Library Consortium, proudly presents the fourth annual Passaic County Book Festival at Weasel Brook Park on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

The Passaic County Book Festival is a vibrant, full-day celebration of literature, storytelling, and community. Designed to spark a lifelong love of reading and creative expression, the festival features more than 75 local authors, poets, and scholars representing a wide range of genres. Attendees of all ages can look forward to author meet-and-greets, panel discussions, poetry readings, book sales, hands-on crafts, and a variety of food and refreshments.

“We are thrilled to bring the Book Festival back to Weasel Brook Park for its fourth year,” said Commissioner Director Pat Lepore. “This event brings our community together around a shared appreciation for reading, creativity, and learning. Our continued collaboration with PALS Plus strengthens the County’s commitment to promoting literacy and supporting our local libraries.”

PALS Plus is a consortium of 30 public and academic libraries across Passaic, Essex, and Hudson Counties. Through shared services and programming, the consortium works to meet the evolving needs of the diverse communities it serves.

“A book festival is an extraordinary event for libraries, as it brings together authors, readers, and book enthusiasts of all ages. It provides a unique opportunity for libraries to showcase their resources, promote literacy, and ignite a passion for reading among attendees. Through panel discussions, author talks, and engaging activities, a book festival serves as a vibrant platform for libraries to connect authors and readers, inspire the next generation of writers, and nurture a love for books and lifelong learning," said Luca Manna, Executive Director of PALS Plus.
