Center Players to Present NJ Premiere Reading of "Walking Charlie" by Gary Morgenstein
 

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- As part of its monthly reading series, Center Players of Freehold will present the New Jersey premiere reading of award-winning playwright Gary Morgenstein's romantic dramedy Walking Charlie at The American Hotel (18-20 East Main Street) in Freehold on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 7:00pm. Suggested donation is $5.

(NUTLEY, NJ) -- Nutley Little Theatre presents "For Peter Pan On Her 70th Birthday" by Sarah Ruhl weekends from June 13-28, 2025. When Ann thinks of her father, she immediately remembers playing Peter Pan in her hometown theater in Iowa, particularly when he used to bring her flowers after her performance.

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the groundbreaking, four-time Tony Award-winning musical, comes to Bell Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ from June 13-29, 2025. Hedwig stars and is co-directed by Jersey Shore soul sensation Remember Jones. The genre-bending, landmark musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask tells the story of one of the most unique characters to ever hit the stage.

 



North Star Theater Company presents "Ride the Cyclone"

The Lord Stirling Theater Company presents "She Stoops to Conquer"
 

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform their adaptation of Oliver Goldsmith's classic madcap comedy She Stoops to Conquer in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center in Basking Ridge weekends from May 30 to June 8, 2025. The play was first performed in London in 1773. Despite being over 200 years old, the commentary on social classes, tension between generations, and romance are still fresh.

Free Outdoor Pride Movie Screening of the British Film "Layla" in Teaneck
 

(TEANECK, NJ) -- In celebration of Pride Month and in solidarity with the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ rights, The Puffin Cultural Forum and The Teaneck International Film Festival are proud to announce a free outdoor Pride month screening of the 2024 British film Layla. The movie screening will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, starting at 9:00pm (rain date Saturday, June 7th at 9:00pm) at the Puffin Cultural Forum's outdoor movie theater in the parking lot. Seating will be provided, or patrons can bring comfortable seating of their choice.

 



Excellent feature Broken Pieces screens at the 2025 New Jersey International Film Festival
 

Broken Pieces is a great film which looks at the many intertwining lives in a place like New York City. Following multiple storylines which all eventually brush past or converge with each other, the film has the viewer constantly bouncing back and forth between different points in the city, mimicking the fast paced and mildly chaotic feeling of New York.

Boots & BBQ Festival Fundraiser for Our Stable Life
 

(LEONIA, NJ) -- Grab your boots & hat and head on down to Bergen Equestrian Center located at Overpeck Park for a Boots & BBQ Festival presented by Discover Line Dance on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. This is a fundraiser for Our Stable Life which is Bergen Equestrian’s Equine Therapy Program and is $25 per person (kids under 12 are free.) All proceeds to benefit "Our Stable Life."

 



State Theatre New Jersey presents Jersey Talent
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Jersey Talent on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 7:00pm. Jersey Talent, a talent show for ages 8-25, returns for its second year. Twelve finalists, including singers, dancers, pianists, and more, will perform live at the historic State Theatre. The winner of Jersey Talent wins a spot as a featured performer at the New Brunswick Heart Festival on August 9. Jersey Talent will be hosted by actor J.W. Cortés (Gotham, The Black List).
