(NEWARK, NJ) -- Salsa fiercely roars back to life on stages around the world. In an unprecedented encounter, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and Grupo Niche, two of the most iconic and influential groups in the genre, unite to announce their world tour: SALSA PA’L MUNDO TOUR, produced by CMN (Cardenas Marketing Network). The tour comes to the Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Formed in 1962 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, El Gran Combo earned the nickname “La Universidad de la Salsa” for its immense influence on Latin music. With over 40 albums, countless international awards, and iconic hits, the group remains one of the most beloved salsa groups in history.
Grupo Niche who formed in 1979 in Bogotá, Colombia, revolutionized salsa with its rich arrangements and poetic lyrics. With Grammy and Latin Grammy recognition and a loyal global following, Grupo Niche continues to inspire new generations while honoring the legacy of salsa music.
This historic tour celebrates decades of music, rhythm, and culture, and promises to take fans of all generations on an unforgettable journey through the greatest hits that have shaped the history of salsa. From classics like “Un verano en Nueva York” to “Cali Aji,” the tour will pay tribute to the legacy of Latin music while also driving its evolution and resurgence among new generations.
Tickets are available for purchase online starting Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:00am. Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey.

With more than 60 years of musical excellence, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico has left an indelible mark on Latin music with more than 90 musical productions and an unmistakable style that has transcended generations. For their part, Grupo Niche, with over 40 years of musical trajectory, has conquered international stages with hits like “Sin Sentimientos,” “Gotas De Lluvia,” “Una Aventura” and “Algo Que Se Quede,” establishing themselves as a fundamental pillar of Latin American musical culture.
From Puerto Rico and Colombia to the world, SALSA PA’L MUNDO will tour multiple cities under the same musical flag. The confirmed dates and locations are:
