Newton Theatre presents An Evening with Joanne Shaw Taylor

originally published: 05/09/2025

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents An Evening with Joanne Shaw Taylor on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

British blues-rock powerhouse Joanne Shaw Taylor continues to push boundaries with her upcoming album Black & Gold, set for release on June 13th via Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records. Black & Gold showcases Joanne’s fearless storytelling across a dynamic lineup of singles like “Grayer Shade of Blue,” “Who’s Gonna Love Me Now,” and her stirring cover of Sam Sparro’s “Black & Gold.”

Her single, “Hell Of A Good Time,” captures her fiery guitar work and infectious rock swagger, while reflecting on the darker side of excess and escapism. The album blends elements of blues-rock, Americana, indie rock, and retro '80s pop, exploring themes of resilience, self-discovery, and emotional healing.

Joanne will hit the road with a series of high-energy performances starting with Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea X in March 2025, followed by an extensive U.S. spring tour. Audiences can look forward to hearing fresh material from Black & Gold alongside her fan-favorite anthems, all delivered with her electrifying stage presence.

Tickets range from $52.50-$80 and are available for purchase online starting Friday, May 9th at 10:00am. The Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, New Jersey.
