(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Harmonium Choral Society presents a musicianship workshop: Latin American Songs and Rhythms with Diana Saez and Suzzette Ortiz with guest ensemble Sola Voce from New Jersey Youth Chorus. This workshop is for music students, singers, composers, and teachers alike on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. This will be a fun time for all of us, singers and conductors alike, to learn more about bringing the music of Latin America alive in our communities and performances. Help us spread the word!
Diana Saez and Suzzette Ortiz have worked together joyfully for years sharing their love of Latin American music at American Choral Directors Association conventions, colleges, high schools and community events. Don't miss this opportunity to join them in New Jersey!
Preregistration online is strongly suggested so that they can provide you with music, professional development certificates and any last minute information. This is a pay what you want event with suggested general admission - $25, Teacher - $20, Student - $10 -- or free if you prefer. Advance registration ends May 9th at 11:55pm. All tickets at the door on May 10 are $30 and do not guarantee copies of the music.
The workshop offers 3 hours of professional development credits for New Jersey teachers.
Bethel Church in Morristown has ample parking on Bishop Nazery Way (across from the church), and the ADA entrance is at the side door where there is a ramp marked handicap for accessible entry. Once inside, there is an elevator to take you up to the upper level where the workshop is located.

Harmonium Choral Society, based in Morris County, is one of New Jersey's leading choral arts organizations. The 100-voice choral society, directed by Dr. Anne Matlack of Madison, has been recognized for its eclectic programming, choral excellence, and community spirit, and sponsors commissions and musicianship workshops to advance the choral art. A subset of the chorus performs in schools, elder care facilities, and other venues.
