Classic Radio Road Show to present A Pair Of Old Time Radio Detective Stories

(SHREWSBURY, NJ) -- Classic Radio Road Show will present "The Adventures of Philip Marlowe - The Medium Was Rare" and "The Adventures of the Thin Man - The Case of the Goofy Groom", a pair of old time radio detective stories.  A live show will take place on May 22, 2025 at the Eastern Branch of Monmouth County Library (1001 Route 35) in Shrewsbury. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Their performances feature talented voice actors at microphones, and a Foley sound effects artist to tell these fascinating stories by some of the most celebrated writers of the time. Plus, new and original commercials written for them by Anthony Aversano.

"The Adventures of Philip Marlowe - The Medium Was Rare" | Mrs. Collins' husband was often out of town.  She had run up a gambling debt of $10,000 and needed to pawn her jewelry, which was insured for that amount.  She went to remove her jewelry from the safe deposit box but discovered that it was stolen!

"The Adventures of the Thin Man - The Case of the Goofy Groom" | Nick and Nora Charles (a husband & wife detective team) swap places with a newly wed couple to discover who is sending death threats to the young couple and why!
