(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Prepare for an evening of suspense, wit, and shocking twists when the Ocean County College Repertory Theatre Company presents Ira Levin's Deathtrap in the Black Box Theater (Building 11B) at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts from April 25 through May 4, 2025.

Comfortably ensconced in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, struggles to overcome a dry spell, resulting in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college—a thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway smash. Sidney’s plan, devised with his wife’s help, is to offer collaboration to the student for co-credit. Or is it?

Deathtrap provides twists and turns of devilish cleverness and offers hilariously sudden shocks so abundant that audiences will be spellbound until the very last moment.

The cast includes Brendan Keffner (Sidney Bruhl), Keith Miller (Clifford Anderson), Dana Russack (Myra Bruhl), Annette Curran (Helga Ten Dorp), and James Fogerty (Porter Milgrim) along with Samantha Acquaviva, Kyle Bodie, Angel Berrios, and Bridget Magnusson. The production crew includes Cat Parker, George Allison, Doug Cox, and Jamie Kasprovitz.

Performances take place Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm; Saturday, April 26  at 7:30pm; Sunday, April 27 at 2:00pm; Friday, May 2 at 7:30pm; Saturday, May 3 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 4 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $21/adults, $19/seniors. Purchase online at grunincenter.org or call the Grunin Center Box Office at 732-255-0500.
