(MILLBURN, NJ) -- The National Association of Women Artists and Green Door Studio presents Feminine Horizon: Inner and Outer Landscapes, an  In-Person Exhibition that features NAWA Signature Members at Green Door Studio. The exhibit runs from January 6–30, 2025.

Through a vibrant collection of works by women artists from diverse backgrounds and traditions, this exhibition explores personal transformation and the natural world. Each artist brings their unique cultural lens and artistic practice to illuminate different paths of healing, renewal, and feminine wisdom.

There will be an in-person reception on Saturday, January 11th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Green Door Studio is located at 306 Millburn Avenue in Millburn, New Jersey.

The National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), founded in 1889, stands as the first women’s professional art organization established in the United States. Five pioneering women who sought to address the isolation experi- enced within the art community and the lack of opportunities for women artists founded NAWA. In response to the male-dominated environment that barred women from participating in many life drawing and anatomy classes, gaining governing positions, and exhibiting their art, NAWA emerged as a vital alternative. By providing a support- ive network and avenues for exhibition, NAWA challenged these barriers, paving the way for greater inclusion and recognition of women artists in the art world. Despite progress over the past century, women artists still face under- representation in galleries, museums, and art historical discourse. NAWA remains vital and committed to its founding mission, recognizing that the fight for equal representation and recognition of women in the arts is ongoing and as crucial as ever.
