Drew University presents Valentine's Weekend Concert with The Duprees

(MADISON, NJ) -- New Jersey's Ambassadors of Love Songs, The Duprees have been entertaining audiences for over 60 years with their unique and timeless sounds, which include some of the most memorable romantic doo-wop classics. You can close out your Valentine Day's weekend by seeing them perform at the Concert Hall at Drew University on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 3:00pm.

Songs such as “You Belong to Me”, "My Own True Love" "Have You Heard.” and “Why Don’t You Believe Me” which were all Top 40 hits for The Duprees. These timeless songs capture the romantic moods and deep meanings that touch the hearts of anyone who has experienced them. When the lyrics and melodies of these classics are brought to life by the smooth vocals of Tommy Petillo, Jimmy Spinelli, and Shawn Stevens, it’s impossible to resist the emotion and nostalgia that spark memories and the desire to sing along. Their smooth harmonies and romantic sound continue to captivate audiences and promise to deliver a performance that resonates with all generations.

Tickets range from $40-$55 and are available for purchase online. The Concert Hall at Drew University is located at 36 Madison Avenue in Madison, New Jersey.

Tommy Petillo has been a part of The Duprees for over 46 years and has been the heart and soul of the group's timeless love songs with his dynamic vocals. Jimmy Spinelli, who joined the group in 1989, brings an energetic presence to the stage with his showmanship, vocal style, and dance moves. Shawn Stevens, the newest member of the group, has performed with legendary doo-wop groups like "The Diamonds" and "The Vogues" and has appeared in multiple stage musicals, television productions, and feature film projects.  Don't miss this romantic afternoon of music!
