Sons of Silver to open for Myles Kennedy at The Stone Pony (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Sons of Silver are heading out on a 21-city national tour with Myles Kennedy and Tim Montana. The tour comes to The Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Sons of Silver are touring in support of their debut full-length album, Runaway Emotions, set for release on January 10th.
The Lords of 52nd Street return to Newton Theatre on February 21st (NEWTON, NJ) -- The famed line-up that backed singer-songwriter Billy Joel for over a decade, The Lords of 52nd Street - Legends of Billy Joel Band is coming to The Newton Theatre on Friday, February 21, 2025. The band that helped establish Billy Joel's formidable sound and sell 150 million records is led by drummer/percussionist Liberty DeVitto and guitarist Russell Javors. Showtime is 8:00pm.
New Jersey Youth Chorus presents Winter Concert on Sunday (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Over two hundred choristers in the New Jersey Youth Chorus will present A Holiday Journey on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Ridge Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge. Showtime is 4:00pm.

New Session of Improv Classes for Adults at Vivid Stage Begins in January (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is enrolling its Winter session of improv classes for adults. This session, which includes three different classes, begins on January 13, 2025. There is a 20% discount for students taking more than one class in a single session.

First Look Review - "The Girl With The Needle" Writer/director Magnus von Horn follows The Here After and Sweat with another intense character study in period drama The Girl with the Needle. This one is loosely inspired by the real life Danish serial killer Dagmar Overbye, but von Horn's true inspiration seems to come from the melodramas of the silent era and perhaps from Richard Fleischer's 10 Rillington Place, with which it shares several thematic elements. Like the recent films Woman of the Hour, The Man in the White Van and He Went That Way, it's a movie about a serial killer that is centred not on the killer but on someone unfortunate enough to find themselves in their orbit.

More Than Bootstraps Awarded $2,500 Grant from the PSEG Foundation (PASSAIC, NJ) -- More Than Bootstraps (MTB), a New Jersey non-profit dedicated to helping low-income, first-generation students access and succeed in higher education, has received a $2,500 grant award from the the PSEG Foundation's Neighborhood Partners Program (NPP).
