(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Hackensack's professional improv team, Howdy Stranger, performs their annual Christmas comedy show, the Holiday Spectacle on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC). Audience members are encouraged to wear festive attire and bring their holiday cheer. Showtime is 8:00pm.
Laugh all the way in this sleigh ride of a show, where six comedians are tasked to perform hilarious interactive games made popular by the tv show, “Whose Line is it, Anyway?” but with a seasonal twist. Before the night ends, the cast will present an improv form, “Howdy Stranger Saves Christmas,” where the players must collaborate to spontaneously create a story and resolve a crisis—suggested by the audience—in time to save the day.
Winners of the “NYC Tournament of Improvisers,” Howdy Stranger has been making audiences laugh for over 15 years. The team features comedians Ryan Huban, Dreena Moran, Chris Fitzgerald, JJ Lynn, Mallory Kinney, and Josh Hurley, with Mike Brown as the host. Their 90-minute, game-show style performances are unscripted and made up on-the-spot, so audience members will be prompted to shout ideas as inspiration for every scene.
Howdy Stranger shows are family-friendly, but due to the unpredictable nature of improv, parents are cautioned there may be adult themes and/or language unsuitable for young children.

Howdy Stranger is a team of professional improvisers and trainers with over 15 years of experience. They perform monthly interactive comedy shows and have appeared at festivals throughout the Northeast, winning competitions like the NYC Tournament of Improvisers, The Improv Arena, and Improv Bowl XI. Thousands have taken their workshops and classes to improve self-confidence, communication skills, and creative thinking. They also collaborate with educational organizations to promote improv in schools and serve as adjudicators at state improv competitions.
