(BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Bridge Players Theatre Company, the Burlington City-based community theatre group, continues its 2024-2025 "Season of Change" with the haunting musical Jekyll & Hyde. Opening October 25 and continuing weekends through November 9, this spine-tingling spectacle features a special Halloween performance October 31, 2024.

The classic story of good vs. evil, Jekyll & Hyde is a crowd-pleasing thriller with a pop score featuring music by Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse (who also authored the musical’s book). A heartbreaking love story and powerhouse performances make for a high-octane exploration into the depths of a man's soul.

Antonino Baldasari of Cherry Hill directs Jekyll & Hyde with assistance from Cassie Greenberg of Chesterfield. The show is produced by Jeffrey Rife of Riverside; Vocal Director is Eileen Ashley of Maple Shade; Choreography is by Jess Brotherton of Westville; Jim Sheffer of Medford Lakes is Pit Conductor.

The production features a powerhouse cast from throughout the area. Taking on the dual roles of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is Thom Sirkot of Moorestown. The two women who love him are Emma Carew (Cassidy Remeniski, Maple Shade) and Lucy Harris (Megan Bryan, Medford).

Also part of the talented cast:  Vince Sisley of Riverside as Utterton; Rick Pine of ardley, PA as Danvers Carew; Nicole Manning of Philadelphia as Lady Beaconsfield; Felix Ramos of Burlington as the Bishop of Basingstoke; Camryn Ragland of Burlington as Nellie; Kori Rife of Riverside as Spider; Will Reid of Mount Laurel as Simon Stride; Patrick Walton of West Deptford as General Glossop; and Michael Smith of Audubon as Poole. The Ensemble includes Anna Adam (Stroudsburg, PA), Jensen Davis (Philadelphia), Evan Long (Deptford), Jason Petti (Collingswood), Caroline Piotrowski (Cinnaminson) and Allyssa Winkelspecht (Burlington).

Director Baldasari comments: “My first experience with Jekyll & Hyde was also one of my first experiences with theater, more than 20 years ago. The show has stuck with me since then, perhaps because its themes are timeless and cut to the core of human experience – not to mention a musical score that can only be described as ‘epic.’ I originally signed on to direct Jekyll & Hyde during Bridge Players’ 2020 season,... and now it has been bubbling around in me for nearly five years. Life has changed a lot for all of us in that time, but those same timeless themes remain. It is an honor and a privilege to finally be able to put this production on stage with this immensely talented cast.”

All performances will take place at Broad Street United Methodist Church (36 East Broad Street) in Burlington, New Jersey. Show dates and times: October 25, 26, 31, November 1, 2, 8 & 9 at 8:00pm, and October 27 & November 3 at 3:00pm. The October 25 performance will also be ASL-interpreted. For tickets and more information, please visit www.bridgeplayerstheatre.com.
