(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Alas, the holiday season will be upon us before we know it.  Just as the Halloween decorations are being taken down, it's time to ramp up the holiday spirit, and Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will begin holiday programming mid-month with The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays.  There's more than holiday programming in November as well. They've got classic pop from Rick Springfield and KC and the Sunshine Band, the country sounds of Josh Turner, the comedy of Eric D'Alessandro and more.

Ticketed MPAC events:

Rick Springfield - Saturday, November 2 at 8:00pm. Over the past four decades, Rick Springfield has worn many hats as an entertainer and performer. The creator of some of the finest power-pop of the ’80s, a Grammy winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.” Tickets range from $69-$119. Eric D’Alessandro - Saturday, November 9 at 7:00pm & 9:30pm. New York native Eric D’Alessandro’s passion for comedy is equally credited to his creative mindset, as well as his big Italian family, which inspires his raw comedic sketches and uncensored, relatable rhetoric. Adults Only. Mature content and language. Tickets rnge from $39-$69.

Ben Folds: Paper Airplane Request Tour - Wednesday, November 13 at 7:30pm. Widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation, Ben Folds has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. In this solo concert, Folds encourages fans to send their song requests to the stage via paper airplanes. Tickets range from $59-$109. LIMITED TICKETS REMAIN

Josh Turner: The Greatest Hits Tour - Thursday, November 14 at 7:30pm. Five-time CMA award nominee Josh Turner performs his timeless songs like “Your Man,” “Long Black Train,” “Would You Go with Me” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance” that have resulted in over 5.8 billion streams, 6.5 million album sales and almost 12 million track sales worldwide. Tickets range from $59-$89.

Newsboys: Worldwide Revival Nights - Friday, November 15 at 7:00pm. With a decades-spanning career and a vastly impressive catalog blending different styles and genres, Newsboys is a name within the Christian music space that can’t be ignored. Since the beginning of their career, Newsboys have propelled countless hits up the charts, explored the universe of books and film, and traveled millions of miles to bring their live show to as many corners of the world as possible; all while in constant pursuit of reinvention and inspiration in the midst of following their calling. Tickets range from $39-$100.

The Illusionists: Magic of the Holidays - Saturday, November 16 at 3:30pm & 7:30pm. Celebrate the holidays with the entire family at The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays, a mind-blowing showcase featuring the jaw-dropping talents of the most incredible illusionists on earth. The Illusionists has shattered box office records across the globe and dazzles audiences of all ages with a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing acts ever seen on stage. This non-stop show is packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions. Tickets range from $49-$99.

KC and The Sunshine Band - Friday November 22 at 8:00pm. KC and The Sunshine Band formed in 1973 with one single purpose: to create instant happiness through music -- and the group has done just that, topping the charts with singles including “Give It Up,” “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Please Don’t Go,” “Get Down Tonight,” “Boogie Shoes,” “I’m Your Boogie Man” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” tallying worldwide sales of over 100 million! Tickets range from $79-$139.

Manhattan Comedy Night - Wednesday, November 27 at 8:00pm. Enjoy some laughs with our popular stand-up series showcasing the rising stars of comedy. Mature content, language. Adults only. Tickets range from $29-$39.

A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage - Friday, November 29 at 2:00pm & 5:00pm. Everyone’s favorite TV holiday classic comes to life onstage as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest Peanuts characters uncover the true meaning of Christmas. Adapted from Charles M. Schulz’s Emmy and Peabody award-winning story, and featuring the unforgettable music of Vince Guaraldi, there’s no better way for families to discover the magic of the season! Tickets range from $29-$69.

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis - Saturday, November 30 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm. The spirit of the season comes alive with the signature sound of the top-selling Christmas music artist in history! America’s favorite holiday celebration for four decades features the beloved Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller along with dazzling multimedia effects that bring the magic of the holidays to life. Tickets range from $59-$99.

Special Event: 4th Annual MPAC Theatre of Light - Sunday, November 24 at 5:00pm. The universal symbol of light will illuminate the rich cultural diversity of our community when Mayo Performing Arts Center transforms the Vail Mansion Plaza into a “Theater of Light.” Details will be announced soon!



Guest Attraction: BlinkNow presents: Between the Mountain and the Sky - Sunday, November 3 at 3:30pm. The film traces Maggie Doyne’s journey from New Jersey to Nepal, where, after meeting Tope Malla and the children of Surkhet, she was inspired to create a vision ensuring every child is safe, educated, and loved. Tickets range from $20-$300.

Guest Attraction: New Jersey Ballet presents: Creative Forces: Peck, Robbins and more - Friday, November 8 at 7:30pm. Join New Jersey Ballet for Creative Forces, an exhilarating program that showcases the visionary work of three groundbreaking choreographers. Experience the thrilling narratives and contemporary movement of Justin Peck’s Murder Ballades, set to the evocative music of Bryce Dessner. Jerome Robbins’ In the Night, set to Chopin’s romantic nocturnes, offers an elegant exploration of love through masterful choreography. Lauren Lovette’s Not Our Fate, an energizing and moving ensemble work for ten dancers, originally premiered at New York City Ballet’s Fashion Gala in 2017, adds a powerful touch to this dynamic program. Celebrate the creative brilliance of these choreographers in a captivating evening of ballet.  Tickets range from $29-$75.

Guest Attraction: New Jersey Symphony: Paquito D'Rivera with New Jersey Symphony - Sunday, November 10 at 3:00pm. Carlos Miguel Prieto – conductor; Paquito D’Rivera – guest artist & co-curator; Paquito D’Rivera Quintet; Amber Monroe – soprano New Jersey Symphony.
