Clinton Hill Community Action Celebrates the 1st Anniversary of the ArtsXChange in Newark's Clinton Hill Community

(NEWARK, NJ) -- In 2023, Clinton Hill Community Action, unveiled a groundbreaking initiative that would transform the cultural landscape of the South Ward. Season 1 of the ArtsXChange, a collaborative effort with the renowned NJPAC, marked a milestone in community engagement and creative expression.

This innovative venture showcased the richness of our community, providing a platform for local talents and fostering an environment where creativity knows no bounds. From visual arts to live performances, Season 1 of the ArtsXChange brought the arts directly to the heart of our community.

As we reflect on the impact of Season 1, join us for an exclusive look back at the unforgettable events, the inspiring collaborations, and the vibrant cultural tapestry that emerged from this extraordinary partnership between Clinton Hill Community Action and NJPAC.

The ArtsXChange is more than just a series of events; it's a celebration of community, innovation, and the transformative power of the arts.

This is the ArtsXChange – a testament to the spirit of collaboration, the pulse of creativity, and the heartbeat of our community. They welcome you to a new chapter in their ArtsXChange journey. On Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the brand new William Ashby Community Center, they will have a performance art presentation by our community, in our community, and for our community! The celebration will feature local Newark artists such as recording artist, Gail Campbell, and renowned saxophonist Josue.

Malachi Richardson, a 9-year-old youth poet, and Rhenotha Whitaker, who has performed with Jennifer Hudson and Patti Labelle, are just a few artists performing on Tuesday evening.

This is a collaboration between Clinton Hill Community Action and NJPAC. John Shreiber, the Executive Director of NJPAC, and Khaatim Sherrer El, the Executive Director of Clinton Hill Community Action, will be in attendance along with political leaders and community members.

Join them for an unforgettable experience. Dinner is being catered by South Ward resident Lita of Taste Lita at 5:30pm, and all are invited.

Copeland is the founding drummer of The Police and one of rock's most inventive forces.

(CARTERET, NJ) -- Hallmark and Gershwin Entertainment are proud to announce Hallmark Stars Live presented by Michaels, a new live tour kicking off at URSB Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 7:30pm where some of the network's most beloved stars step off screen and onto the stage. Hosted by fan-favorite Nikki DeLoach (A Grand Ole Opry Christmas), the tour will feature Hallmark mainstays for a night where the cameras are off – and the stories keep rolling.
