Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series presents music of Cecelia Reilly

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Westminster Conservatory of Music presents 60 Ellipses Around the Sun, a recital featuring music by Westminster Conservatory faculty member Cecelia Reilly, on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 7:30pm. The concert will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.

The performers include Kevin Willois, flute; Melissa Bohl, oboe; Kenneth Ellison, clarinet; Ed Hirschman and Bill Myers, trumpet; Craig Levesque and Emalina Thompson, horn; Lars Wendt and Susan Moxley, trombone; Bill Connors, tuba; Hyun Soo Lim, violin; Marjorie Selden, viola; Mark Johnstone, guitar; and pianists Clipper Erickson, Hendry Wijaya and Cecelia Reilly.

Reilly graduated from Westminster Choir College of Rider University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1989.  In 2002 she was awarded the Raymond Young Memorial Scholarship and went on to earn a master's degree in composition. Reilly currently teaches piano and theory at Westminster Conservatory of Music.  Prior to 2000 she spent seven years teaching high school chorus, band and hand bells in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Established in 1970, Westminster Conservatory is the community music school of Rider University. Welcoming young musicians of all ages, skill levels, instrument preferences and economic backgrounds, Westminster Conservatory provides focused one-on-one lessons. In addition, the Conservatory offers a wide range of classes and performing ensembles to engage every student, from the beginner to young maestros, regardless of age. Westminster Conservatory of Music is a nationally recognized institution, maintaining active membership in the National Guild for Community Arts Education.
