The 2024 NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival to Take Place in February

Published by New Jersey Stage

(NEW YORK, NY) -- The NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival (NYCITFF), formerly a program of the New Ohio Theatre, will take place February 15-18, 2024 at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres, located at 502 West 53rd Street. The festival, led by Executive Director and Programmer Marc Weitz, and Producer and Programmer Allyson Morgan, is now in its 8th year.

NYCITFF presents work from independent theatre artists who are defying labels and branching out into digital media and film. Feature-length films, short films, filmmaker Q&As and panels with industry professionals will be presented. The full schedule will be announced in January 2024.

Producer Allyson Morgan shares, “We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’re able to return in February at the beautiful Gural Theatre. A.R.T./New York has a long history of supporting theatre artists in New York, and it felt like a natural transition to partner with them on our first iteration of the festival outside of the New Ohio. We can’t wait to unveil our most diverse slate of films yet!”

Marc Weitz, Executive Director, adds, “We were very sad when the New Ohio closed in August. They were a pillar of the downtown theatre scene for 30 years. But we talked with our artists and our audiences, and they told us to keep going. We’re building a community of theatre artists working in film, and we’re giving audiences a place to watch their work. We’re excited to land at A.R.T./New York and continue our mission.”

All-access passes are $50, which provide access to every event at the festival. Individual tickets will also be on sale for $14. Passes and tickets will be available in January on the NYCITFF website at https://www.nycitff.org.
