Axelrod PAC to host world-acclaimed artists in benefit for Israel relief

originally published: 10/20/2023

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Get ready to be swept away with a magical evening for a meaningful cause at Axelrod Performing Arts Center! On Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 7:30pm, The Axelrod and Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ present a special benefit concert filled with passionate performances, soulful melodies, and enlightening messages dedicated to all those Israelis affected by the October 7 Hamas terror attack and resulting war.

This special concert to raise funds for the Israel Victims of Terrorism Fund features boundary-crossing Israeli artist Guy Mintus, an acclaimed concert pianist and vocalist with the energy of a rock star and a jazz musician’s sense of adventure, performing with Israeli film star and vocalist Naama Nachum.

Coming from a mixed heritage of Iraqi, Moroccan and Polish Jews Guy Mintus’ performances are a “meeting point between different rivers of inspiration flowing freely into each other.” Winner of the Leonard Bernstein award and the composer of the music for the recent “Fiddler” documentary on HBO, he is constantly on the go performing in venues in Israel and around the world.   An in-demand performer and recording artist, Naama Nachum has performed at a wide array of musical and theatrical productions at some of Israel’s leading cultural institutions and concerts abroad.

Ticket sales will benefit Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ’s Israel Emergency Fund, part of a North America-wide relief effort for Israeli victims of terror. Funds will be used to meet priority needs requiring immediate collective action, such as medical care, emergency services, evacuation, transport, housing, and trauma relief.

VIP seats are $360 with individual tickets at $180. Tickets are available for purchase online. Sponsorships are available for $10,000 (18 tickets) or $5,000 (8 tickets). The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is located at 100 Grant Avenue in Deal Park, New Jersey.
