Brick City Comedy Revue to Celebrate 9 Years In Newark

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Brick City Comedy Revue, Newark's premier comedy showcase will celebrate 9 years in Newark on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Kilkenny Alehouse. This edition of the monthly show, hosted by Justin Williams and DJ Gonzalo Silva, features Jordan Temple, Kevin McCaffrey, Tiz Irie, and Reggie Kush (AKA the GOAT) with Pat Wise as the musical guest. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Tickets are $10 and available for purchase online. This is an official stop of Newark First Fridays.

Jordan Temple is a New York City born, multi-hyphenate comedian-playwright-writer-standup-actor who grew up in the projects peeing in the staircase and also the elevator. In 2019 and 2020 Jordan was a Co-Producer for seasons three and four of Donald Glover’s acclaimed FX comedy, ‘Atlanta’. Previously, Jordan was a Story Editor for Season Three of the Emmy-award winning Amazon series, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. Currently, Jordan is a Co-Producer for season 4 of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. On the stand-up front, he taped a set for Comedy Central Stand Up Featuring, a digital series showcase for new talent.

Kevin McCaffrey is a comedian & writer based out of New York City. He made his network TV debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, and he currently appears on truTV’s Greatest Ever, truTV Presents: World’s Dumbest, and Comedy Knockout where he is a 2-time defending champion. Kevin’s previous television appearances include VH1’s I Love the 2000s, History’s I Love the 1880s, and The Edge & Christian Show and The List on the WWE Network. Kevin hosts several podcasts, including College Stories with Kevin McCaffrey, Sex and the Cidiots, A Million Little Podcast, and Away Games: A Chicago Cubs Podcast.

Tiz Irie is a New Jersey-based comedian who was crowned the Stress Factory's New Brunswick March Madness Winner in 2017.

Reggie Kush, AKA the GOAT, knew he had a plan ever since he was a calf. Born and raised on the north side of St. Louis, Missouri, Reggie has always enjoyed entertaining his friends and family. Whether in the hood or in school, the GOAT was always the center of attention, blessing the world with his humor and bars.

Musical Guest: Pat Wise is a Brooklyn-based improvisational musical comedian and producer of audiosnacks.

Kilkenny Alehouse is located at 27 Central Avenue in Newark, New Jersey.
