New Jersey Symphony to present 2023 Edward T. Cone Composition Institute Concert on July 15th (NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony is premiering works from four selected composers for the ninth Edward T. Cone Composition Institute. Arts Council of Princeton to Host All-Ages Outdoor Dance Party Series (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) will host an all-ages Outdoor Dance Party on Friday, July 28 from 8:00pm-9:30pm. This community event is the first of a series of monthly dance parties, happening on the last Friday of every month. From July to September, the parties will take place in the ACP's parking lot in the heart of Downtown Princeton. In the cooler months, or in the event of rain, the dances will move into their Solley Theater. Admission is a suggested donation of $5.

Newark Public Library Names Christian Zabriskie as Director (NEWARK, NJ) -- Mayor Ras J. Baraka and the Board of Trustees of the Newark Public Library announced the appointment of Christian Zabriskie as Director of the Library on July 5, 2023. Mr. Zabriskie has more than 20 years of urban public library experience. He most recently led the Onondaga County Public Library where he oversaw libraries in the City of Syracuse as well as providing library support services to an additional 22 independent libraries in the County.
Red Bank's Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy named July's beneficiary in The Giving Year (RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts and Bank of America (BofA) have announced the seventh of twelve area nonprofits to be recognized during The Giving Year, the yearlong initiative to recognize and reward organizations for their contributions to the regional community. Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy will receive $1 from every Count Basie Center ticket sold in July, along with event tickets for the organization's clientele and volunteers.
