(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs and Van Vleck House and Gardens will present OutpostFest, on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The family-friendly festival will take place from from 12:00pm - 6:00pm held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Montclair. The festival will include performances by Nicole Atkins, Joe Pug, Freedy Johnston, Hodera, Debra Devi, and Adam Falcon. ** NOTE: this was originally scheduled as an outdoor event, but moved inside due to the weather forecast. **
Tickets are available for purchase online. General Admission, Family Pack, and VIP tickets will be available. Family Pack tickets include admission for two adults and two children (ages 12 and under). VIP tickets include reserved seating, a signed poster, complimentary refreshments, and a private reception (TBD).
General Admission tickets can also be purchased at Watchung Booksellers in Montclair, 54 Fairfield Street, Montclair, New Jersey.
Outpost in the Burbs is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Montclair dedicated to building community through music and volunteerism. For over 35 years, the Outpost has presented concerts by internationally known artists such as Judy Collins, Roger McGuinn, Jorma Kaukonen, Jimmy Webb, Richie Havens, The Jayhawks, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson, and Shawn Colvin. In addition to presenting concerts, Outpost volunteers have donated many hours of their time for programs affiliated with the Human Needs Food Pantry of Mont- clair, the Community Food Bank of NJ, MESH (Montclair Emergency Services for Hope), and a monthly community food program run by Outpost volunteers in Or ange, N.J.
Located at 21 Van Vleck Street in Montclair, the Van Vleck House & Gardens originated as a 12-acre estate in 1868. In 1993, the house and grounds were gifted to the Montclair Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to support nonprofits. The private gardens of the Van Vleck are open to the public 365 days a year. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the beautiful green space in the heart of Montclair.
