(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre is presenting Viva Las Vegas weekends through May 21. The production features a playlist of familiar and beloved music and lets you take a stroll down the Vegas strip of yesteryear! Be dazzled by original costumes dripping with sequins and accented with thousands of feathers, inspired by the look of the archetypal, vintage "Vegas Showgirl." Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

 



TyLie Shider named Playwright Fellow at ArtYard

Asbury Park Music Foundation Announces Two Free Shows on The Boardwalk (June 16-17)
 

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) – The nonprofit Asbury Park Music Foundation (APMF) has announced two free shows on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 in partnership with The Break and Low Dive, the boardwalk's newest tenants. The Break (formerly Langosta Lounge) and Low Dive (formerly APYC) have been magnets for live music, and the new era continues that tradition. These shows will celebrate the diversity of Asbury Park music past and present, while paving the way for young artists to continue personifying Asbury Park in the future.

 



North to Shore Festival Adds Over 60 Events to Double in Size
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Hundreds of New Jersey artists will take center stage at more than 60 new events added to the lineup of the inaugural North to Shore Festival, the three-city, three-weekend summer celebration of the arts, film and tech slated for June 2023.

 



Bristol Riverside Theatre 2023 William Penn Summer Music Fest Preview
 

(BRISTOL, PA) -- Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) (120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA) presents a lineup of contemporary favorites and tribute artists taking the stage for the William Penn Bank Summer Music Fest 2023. The multiday kaleidoscope of singers performing decades of iconic standards kicks off June 14-18 with the Rhinestone Cowgirls and continues with Forever Motown (July 12-16) and The Caribbean Chillers (July 26-30). Local Bands Night presents three acts local to the Philadelphia area (August 5), Funkadrill's Mandrills Experience (August 18-19), and The Four C Notes (August 23-27) to close out the summer series on the mainstage. Roots and Boots, featuring Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye, and Sammy Kershaw, lights up the Bristol Township outdoor amphitheater (2501 Bath Road) on Thursday, July 20, followed by The Hitmen on Friday, August 11.

 



The Newton Theatre presents Lita Ford
 

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents Lita Ford on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 8:00pm. Lita is an English-born American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. For a quarter of a century, singer-songwriter-guitarist-producer Mike Montrey has released a steady of stream of albums with Mike Montrey Band, as well as a few prior to that with the band ... water ... Both have featured bassist-vocalist Anthony "Duke" Duca, Mike's childhood friend. Joining them within the core of Mike Montrey Band are vocalist Jen Augustine and pedal steel guitarist Jack Stanton.

Union County Hosts Nature Photography Workshop on Saturday

Trenton Downtown Association Announces Installation of Nine Seward Johnson Sculptures in Downtown Area
 

(TRENTON, NJ) -- Nine works by internationally renowned sculptor Seward Johnson were installed in various locations in the heart of downtown Trenton on Thursday, May 4, 2023. These life-sized bronze cast sculptures, on loan from Seward Johnson Atelier through October 2023, celebrate "the familiar," a recurring theme in Johnson's work. Walk through downtown Trenton, and you will find sculptures of people doing ordinary, everyday things, like reading a local newspaper or taking pictures.

WBGO Recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month with Launch of New Podcast - Conversations with Sydney
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and on May 10, WBGO Studios is proud to launch Conversations with Sydney, a podcast series exploring effective ways for parents, teens, schools, and communities to respond to the ongoing crises of teen mental health and suicide. Each episode is structured as a personal conversation between a father (Micah Fink) and his non-binary teenager (Sydney) as they search for real-world solutions by speaking with teens, parents, doctors, and national leaders in the field of teen suicide prevention. Some of the questions the series raises include: Should parents talk to their kids about suicide? How can teens and parents begin to talk about mental health and suicide with their kids?
