Ocean County Library Jackson Branch Presents Art by Shari Olsen-Williams through May

originally published: 04/12/2023

(JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Scenic vistas, nature, and abstracts by Jackson resident Shari Olsen-Williams are on display at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch throughout the months of April and May.

The 22-year Jackson resident said that her parents supported her artistic pursuits from childhood. “I was always painting holiday displays for the windows and doors,” she recalled. Shari earned an Associate of Arts degree in Art History and became adept in watercolors and oils at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft.

“Like many students of art, life got in the way,” Shari said, and work precluded her aspirations until “…retirement came, and I made my hopes reality…I continue to educate myself in the art world and experiment with different mediums, methods and styles of acrylic painting,” including Dutch pours and abstract brush work.

The exhibit is free and open to the public, and viewable during normal Branch operating hours. No registration is required.

For more information, stop by the Jackson Branch, 2 Jackson Drive, call (732) 928-4400, or visit www.theoceancountylibrary.org/events.
