(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Brookdale Community College has announced the addition of a new Multimedia Production Option for the Humanities associate in arts degree. This option aims to provide students with a comprehensive skillset in pre-production, production, and post-production, which will prepare them for transfer to four-year institutions offering bachelor's degrees in Multimedia or Audio/Video Production.

Students can enroll now for this program featuring a Capstone Course, providing practical and occupational experience working as content creators for the College Radio Station 90.5 The Night. This course will allow students to apply their skills in a real-world setting and gain valuable experience in the field.

"Essentially, the Station is the student’s client," said Associate Vice President of Innovation and Learning Dr. William F. Burns. "Utilizing the skills they acquire in their course work, students will attend cultural and social events on campus and around the County and create web-based audio and video content, along with still images and text that may be used on the station website or on the air."

The new Multimedia Production Option will complement similar programs at four-year institutions and provide students with numerous articulation and transfer opportunities. Students who complete this program will have the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers in advertising, audio and video production, web design, marketing, and public relations, all industries with tremendous growth potential.

The program will consist of 60 credits in total, including 45 credits of General Education and 15 credits of Career Studies, providing an excellent opportunity for students to gain a multifaceted skillset in multimedia production and prepare for successful careers in various industries.
