On the French Polynesian island of Tahiti, the High Commissioner of the Republic is a calculating man with flawless manners who coolly navigates both the political establishment and the indigenous underground scene.
But as rumors swirl about a return by the French government to nuclear testing in the region, he must face the swiftly changing calculus of his personal and professional lives.
