Vivid Stage presents "Only Human: Stories of Connection" (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present Only Human: Stories of Connection from February 23 through March 5. The evening is made up of seven short plays by the playwrights Barbara Blumenthal-Erlich, Laura Ekstrand, Steve Harper, Stephen Kaplan, Mark Harvey Levine, Matthew Weaver and David Lee White.
The Summit Playhouse presents "The Old Settler" (SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse presents The Old Settler, a play by John Henry Redwood, weekends from February 24th to March 11th. In the play, sparks fly in a 1943 Harlem tenement between an old spinster and her skeptical sister when a handsome young man arrives on their doorstep. Full of humor and grit, this authentic story of love and survival reverberates with timelessness and warmth.
PHOTOS from "Unfinished Women Cry In No Man's Land While A Bird Dies In A Gilded Cage" at Camden Rep (CAMDEN, NJ) -- Camden Repertory Theater celebrates Black History Month with an immersive production of Aishah Rahman’s rarely produced underground classic Unfinished Women Cry In No Man's Land While A Bird Dies In A Gilded Cage, boasting a live jazz band and presented in Camden Rep’s unique venue — a typical New Jersey row house with only 20 seats. Performances run from February 10 to March 25. The production is directed by Chyna Morrison and features music direction by JoJo Streater.

Junho, a narrative feature film by David Soek Hoon Boo, will be playing at the New Jersey Film Festival on February 11, 2023, online for 24 hours and in person at 7 pm. The film follows Junho, a Korean actor who flees to San Francisco after his acting troupe is shaken by a sexual assault.

Dance On The Lawn Returns for 10th and Final Year in September (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Dance on the Lawn, Montclair, NJ’s outdoor dance festival, will return for its tenth and final year, Celebrating New Jersey. The Festival returns to its original location, the front lawn of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 73 S Fullerton Ave, Montclair, NJ, on Saturday, September 19 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Princeton Symphony Orchestra Announces Plans for June 9-25 Princeton Festival (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has announced a compelling line-up of performances for this year's Princeton Festival, the PSO's annual live arts extravaganza. The majority of the Festival takes place June 9-25, 2023 within an enormous tented pavilion erected seasonally on the grounds of Morven Museum & Garden, complete with concessions and gathering spaces. Events range from a beloved comic opera by Gioachino Rossini to independent tributes honoring the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin and Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the US, plus orchestral concerts, chamber music and dance, a Juneteenth celebration, a Family Day, and genre-defying performances by top ensembles and three 2023 Grammy Award winners.
