Giant Blueberry Drop On NYE In Blueberry Capital Of The World

(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- The sixth annual Hammonton New Year’s Eve Bash, Giant Blueberry Drop & Fireworks will be held on Saturday night, December 31st from 10:00pm to 12:30am in Downtown Hammonton. The free outdoor event will be held in the “Blueberry Capital of the World” - in front of Hammonton Town Hall, located at 100 Central Avenue. (Regardless of weather, the event will be held.)

Mimic, a Philadelphia Area premier cover band, will kick off the night with a free outdoor live music performance on stage from 10:00pm to 12:30am. Free party hats and noisemakers will be given to the first 300 guests, sponsored by Silipena Refrigeration and Toy Market.

At midnight a giant blueberry will descend from high above the festivities and a fireworks display will mark the official start of 2023. The Town of Hammonton is sponsoring the fireworks.

“Grab your friends, get a bite to eat, a drink, and let us take care of the rest,” MainStreet Hammonton Executive Director said. Cocktail & dining specials, will be offered at restaurants, bars, wineries, breweries and the distillery throughout the greater Hammonton area, along with entertainment featured at some indoor venues.

Portions of the event will be broadcast live on Access Hammonton - Comcast Channel 9 in the Town of Hammonton and live-streamed globally on YouTube and www.TownofHammonton.org. Co-Hosts Deputy Mayor Tom Gribbin and Ray Scipione will emcee the broadcast.

Enjoy a free family fun event celebrating the New Year with a countdown at noon for the kids, confetti streamers, food, interactive crafts, games, character appearances. goodies, music and more.
