Sam Paige releases "On Me"

originally published: 12/28/2022

Sam Paige is a pop singer/songwriter from Edison who isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve as she does on her latest track, "On Me." In the song, she describes the trials she went through in her past relationship, voicing that blame for the other person's mistakes was always put on her.

Sam sings, “It was hard to even tell if we were meant to be/ Don't try to blame this all on my mama’s heart/Cause without her help you would never get this far/ Now you lying, saying your in love/ But everyone can see…/Try and blame another mistake on me." The lyrics within the song help portray a series of events that give the song a bitter but vengeful edge.

Sam explains, “I believe I am still continuing to grow, and this song made me realize how hard relationships can be, but if something is worth it, you fight for it.”

Raised in New Jersey, Sam Paige seeks to show true emotion through the power of music. From 2018 onwards, Paige has released several singles and EPs to help her build the image of using her emotions as a tool within her music. Additionally, she uses music to help herself process events and deal with her personal insecurities; In this way she is able to be true to her music, as well as share her personal experiences with her audience.

Paige got her start in the writing scene with poetry, which eventually led her to transition into singing and songwriting herself. Sam has trained with Coreen Sheehan of NBC’s “The Voice”, and has been featured alongside Corbin Bleu at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Paige’s musical inspirations include Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and various other singers that have helped shape her own musical style.
