Adapted by Mountain Community Theater from the novel by Valentine Davies and based upon the beloved Twentieth Century Fox motion picture Miracle on 34th Street. MTM Players presents "The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge" (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Seasonal silliness is in full swing December 9-11 at Kelsey Theatre on the campus of Mercer County Community College! MTM Players presents five performances of the hilarious comedy The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, where Playwright Mark Brown (who actually admits to always wanting hair like Rod Stewart) takes the “happily ever after” component of A Christmas Carol to an entirely new, ridiculously funny level. This is a gut-busting comedy, a play reviewers hail as “a sequel worthy of Dickens’ approval” that will leave audiences “guffawing and cheering” according to Brown.
Vivid Stage Celebrates Annual Fundraising Gala January 21: Thank You for Being a Friend (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage is holding its annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, January 21, 2023. The party will be held at Calvary Church, 31 Woodland Avenue, in Summit from 6:00pm-10:00pm. As part of this special fundraising event, the theatre will honor two friends: Jill Bernstein for her 10 years of board service, and Annette Dwyer, for her support of the Summit arts community.

Yeat to Perform in NY and Philly L.A. rap sensation Yeat announces upcoming North American tour supporting recent hit project LYFË. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on March 1st in Minneapolis, MN at The Armory; Yeat will perform his high-energy mosh pit anthems in 27 cities across the U.S. with two stops in Canada. Locally he will be at Knockdown Center in Queens, NY on Wednesday, March 8; The Fillmore in Philadelphia on Sunday, March 12; and Terminal 5 in New York City on Monday, March 13.

The Nutcracker ROCKS follows a bored, teen Clara, who must endure her family's posh holiday party on the Upper East Side until her eccentric Uncle Drosselmeyer arrives. Uncle Drosselmeyer shakes things up at the distinguished Manhattan party when he shows up transporting Clara to a magic land�the Jersey Shore�where the traditional Land of Sweets is instead a candy shop in Asbury Park. bergenPAC Students To Dance at Carnegie Hall in ‘A Night of Inspiration’ (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Dance students from the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC will take the stage at Carnegie Hall as part of 'A Night of Inspiration.' The event features a mix of music, dance, and spoken word performances from diverse traditions. Another Good Year for Sculpture For Leonia (LEONIA, NJ) -- Sculpture for Leonia had a busy year installing interesting outdoor sculptures throughout Leonia, enriching life in the artsy town. New installations included Thunderhoof by Dave Channon, Springtime by Brian Wohrman, and Steel Saguoro by Joe Chirchirillo. Two existing sculptures were moved to the Borough Hall area to enhance a delightful eatery in the alleyway. The arts organization ended 2022 with the major addition of Peace, Love and Happiness, a trio of giant emojis, by Scott Gerber.

Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton announces five Hodder Fellows for 2023-2024 (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts has announced the selection of five Mary Mackall Gwinn Hodder Fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year. This year’s recipients include cartoonist and designer Kayla E., choreographer Moriah Evans, theater artist Modesto ‘Flako’ Jimenez, composer Joseph C. Phillips, Jr., and conceptual artist Charisse Pearlina Weston.
Newark Youth Get To "Shop With A Hero" This Holiday Season (NEWARK, NJ) -- Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced on December 6 that the City is partnering with United Community Corporation this holiday season to host a “Shop With a Hero” event. 250 local youth will have the opportunity to go on a $100 shopping spree with a first responder, police officer, firefighter, doctor, nurse, or EMT, visiting stores on Broad and Market Streets in downtown Newark, on Saturday, December 17.
