McCarter Live at the Library with "The Wolves"

originally published: 08/07/2022

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre Center’s Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen returns to the Princeton Public Library’s Community Room on Tuesday, August 30th to kick-off McCarter’s 2022-2023 Season and share directorial details on the exciting season-opening production of Sarah de Lappe’s Pulitzer Prize-finalist play The Wolves, a story centered around an elite high-school girls’ indoor soccer team. The event starts at 7:00pm.

Rasmussen will talk about her special relationship to the timely drama and the power of its exploration of adolescence and the hearts, minds, and energies of young women; her collaborative process with the production’s design team; and she will share stories from the rehearsal room of staging de Lappe’s remarkably kinetic play with an exciting ensemble of tour-de-force young actors. The conversation will be moderated by McCarter Artistic Engagement Manager Paula Alekson, and will include a Q&A with the audience.

This event will take place in Princeton Public Library’s Community Room (on the first floor) at 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, New Jersey. No RSVP or ticket is required to attend the in-person event; it is free and open to the public.

This is a Princeton Public Library and McCarter Theatre Center community partnership event.
