Premiere Stages presents "Mud Row"


(UNION, NJ) -- Premiere Stages at Kean University presents the New Jersey Premiere of Dominique Morisseau’s Mud Row July 14-31 in Kean University’s Bauer Boucher Theatre Center. Directed by Marshall Jones III,  Mud Row will feature actors Ashley Nicole Baptiste, Lekethia Dalcoe, Alinca Hamilton, Malik Reed, Stacey Sherrell, and Landon Woodson.
"Bulrusher" added to McCarter Theatre's 2022-23 Season


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre has announced that Bulrushed by Elisa Davis has been added to the 2022-23 season.  They play, which was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama in 2007,  will be produced by McCarter Theatre Center May 6-28, 2023 on the mainstage of the Roger S. Berlind Theater. Nicole A. Watson will direct the production.

Inside The 2022 Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series


(TRENTON, NJ) -- The Trenton Downtown Association and the African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County have announced that the 2022 Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series is returning to downtown Trenton this summer. The free 10-concert series will feature a lineup of local, regional and national artists representing a wide range of musical styles.  
West Windsor Arts presents the Chivalrous Crickets


(PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts presents the Chivalrous Crickets, an up-and-coming, Celtic-infused folk band, in concert at the arts center on Saturday, July 9 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The music of the Chivalrous Crickets cannot be defined by a single genre but instead is a unique blend of Irish, English and American folk music.

At The Tabernacle presents Garrison Keillor


(MOUNT TABOR, NJ) -- Of course there'll be the news from Lake Wobegon when Garrison Keillor comes to At The Tabernacle on Saturday, October 1 at 7:30pm. For forty years, Garrison Keillor performed A Prairie Home Companion, wrote fiction and comedy, and invented a town called Lake Wobegon, "where all the children are above average." Tickets are available for purchase online.

Joe's Pub to Screen "Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk Rock in NYC"


(NEW YORK, NY) -- Joe’s Pub will host Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk Rock in NYC, a documentary premiering in NYC and open to the public on Wednesday, July 20 at 9:30pm. The film originally premiered at the Dock of the Bay Film Festival in San Sebastián, Spain on May 5, 2022, where it won the Judges Special Mention award and will be released worldwide on November 25.

New York Red Bulls Mural Opportunity


(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New York Red Bulls and Newark Arts are thrilled to share a public art opportunity for the Ironbound section of Newark. This request for proposals calls on artists to submit mural concepts that embrace the culture and community of soccer. The mural is located at 529-531 Market Street, a site commonly crossed when local fans journey from Newark, over the Jackson Street Bridge to a match at Red Bull Arena.
