Algonquin Arts Theatre Announces Cast and Creative Team for "Mary Poppins"

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its first production of the 2022-2023 season, Mary Poppins. The musical will run at Algonquin Arts Theatre from Saturday, July 16 through Sunday, July 31. Vanguard Theater presents RENT, the Rock Musical

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) --Vanguard Theater will present selections from RENT, the Rock Musical, on the Montclair Pride Mainstage on Saturday, June 11 at 1:30pm, in a preview of its production of the full length musical opening at Vanguard Theater on June 17, 2022. Performance run June 17-19, June 23-26, and June 30 to July 3.

Punk In Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival Announces Fall Dates

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Brew Ha Ha Productions has announced fall event dates for Punk In Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival, featuring the best in punk rock music and craft beer, with all shows featuring a lineup of punk rock icons, headlined by NOFX. The fall festival series includes Saturday, September 24 in Worcester, MA, Saturday, October 1 in Baltimore, MD, and Sunday, October 2 in Asbury Park, NJ as the final event of the season for the Stone Pony Summer Stage.

New Jersey Symphony to Perform Free Concert at Ocean County College

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony returns to Toms River this month for a free outdoor concert at Ocean County College, sponsored by the Ocean County College Foundation. 2022 Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival

James Camali’s haunting feature The Mental State screens at the 2022 New Jersey International Film Festival on Friday, June 10.

The Mental State follows a high school senior named Andy Cady (Jance Enslin), depicted as a kind of tortured artistic loner, and his burgeoning relationship with a manipulative, imaginary local Navy SEAL veteran named Dylan (Bryan Greenburg). Stuck in the heart of rural Kentucky, Andy is brought to the brink by Dylan’s machinations. Dylan convinces Andy to believe in dangerous conspiracies and conditions him into following his orders like Andy is one of his fellow veterans. The only person really troubled by their growing relationship is Andy’s single mother Angela (Carly Pope). As the film progresses and Andy’s behavior becomes more erratic, she begins to worry seriously for his health and safety. Andy’s beliefs and actions reach the point that he emotionally harms a fellow student. Angela, impoverished and alone, struggles to find resources to help Andy before it’s too late.
