Bristol Riverside Theatre presents "A Few Good Men"


(BRISTOL, PA) -- Bristol Riverside Theatre (120 Radcliffe Street) closes its season with a chance to see Hollywood notable Aaron Sorkin’s groundbreaking debut that tells the story of a group of military lawyers assigned to defend two Marines in Guantanamo Bay. A Few Good Men, the play upon which the Academy Award nominated film is based, is about a team of lawyers who uncover a high-level conspiracy covered up in the name of patriotism.This searing drama runs now through May 22, 2022.

Registration for the 11th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition is Now Open


(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced the opening of the 11th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. The search is on for the next great jazz singer! Solo vocalists from around the world are encouraged to submit their entries before September 6, 2022, by visiting SarahVaughanCompetition.com. In the Fall 2022, the Top Five Finalists will be announced followed by a star-studded final performance on the iconic NJPAC stage. 
The Record Company to Play Shows in Jersey, NYC, and Philly in October


(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- GRAMMY-nominated rock band The Record Company has announced a new run of tour dates this summer and fall in support of their acclaimed third studio album Play Loud. The tour includes three dates in the Jersey area: October 25 at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, October 27 at Bowery Ballroom in New York City, and October 28 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia.

Masterworks at St. Paul's on Sunday will Conclude 2021-22 season of Steeple Concerts


(WESTFIELD, NJ) -- On Sunday, May 15th at 5:00pm, the New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra conductor Mark Hyczko will be leading the St. Paul’s Choir with Orchestra for the annual Masterworks Concert at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The performance concludes the 2021-22 season of programming for the Steeple Concerts series at the Church, where Hyczko is also the Director of Music.

Princeton Festival Talks at Area Libraries in May Offer insights into Operatic Works


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) Festival Director Gregory Jon Geehern delves into Derrick Wang’s contemporary opera Scalia/Ginsburg, Benjamin Britten’s comic opera Albert Herring, and Kurt Weill’s sensual The Seven Deadly Sins at talks held at area libraries this month. His's talk, “Operatic Explorations,” provides background and context for these works, which will be performed at the 2022 Princeton Festival, the PSO’s premier summer performing arts program. Geehern is deeply involved with coordinating all the behind-the-scenes aspects of the productions, and will be conducting Scalia/Ginsburg and the Festival Chorus during the June 10-25 extravaganza.

JKC Gallery Third Thursdays Free Photography Artist Talk Set for May 19th


(TRENTON, NJ) -- "Third Thursdays," the free monthly photography presentation and artist talk series at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC’s) James Kerney Campus Gallery (JKCG) at 137 North Broad Street in Trenton, will take place May 19th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The event, curated by Heather Palecek and Habiyb Shu'Aib, will feature work by Aaron Turner and Wendel White.
