Franklin Theatre Works is Holding Auditions for a Performance of "Oliver!" to benefit Child Refugees of Ukraine


(FRANKLIN, NJ) -- Franklin Theatre Works is holding auditions for a special production of Oliver, which will serve as a fundraiser for the child refugees of Ukraine. The show will take place June 25-26 in the Hunterdon Central Regional High School Auditorium in Flemington. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to Save The Children charity designated for the orphans and children suffering from the war. 
State Theatre presents Roald Dahl's "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory"


(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Roald Dahl’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory for four performances from Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15. It tells the story of Willy Wonka, world famous inventor of the Everlasting Gobstopper, who has just made an astonishing announcement. His marvelous—and mysterious—factory is opening its gates…to a lucky few. That includes young Charlie Bucket, whose life definitely needs sweetening. He and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a mesmerizing, life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination. Get ready for Oompa-Loompas, incredible inventions, the great glass elevator, and more, more, more at this everlasting showstopper! 
Bergen County Players to Hold Auditions for "Ragtime: The Musical"


(ORADELL, NJ) -- One of the most ambitious projects ever produced by the Bergen County Players, Ragtime: The Musical will open BCP's 90th season this September. Open auditions will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Rd. in Oradell, NJ on Tuesday and Thursday, June 7th and 9th at 7:30pm and on Sunday, June 12th at 10:00am.  BCP is seeking an ethnically diverse cast of men and women ages 16 - 65+.  Additionally, there are two principal roles for children (boy and girl – stage age 8 – 12). 
South Street Players to Present Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap"


(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- South Street Players will present Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap over two weekends (May 6-8 and May 13-15) at Wesley Hall. In this classic play, news spreads of a murder in London and a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a stately countryside guesthouse. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover – to their horror – that a killer is in their midst!

American Theater Group Accepting Applications for PlayLab BIPOC Playwriting Program

Paper Mill Playhouse announces 2022 Rising Star Award Nominations

Let My People Go! A Spiritual Journey Along the Underground Railroad


(CHERRY HILL, NJ) -- Greater South Jersey Chorus presents a new collaboration with the South Camden Theatre Company and the Camden County Historical Society, through generous funding from PNC Arts Alive and the Camden County Commission for Arts & Heritage, for performances on Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15 of “Let My People Go! A Spiritual Journey Along the Underground Railroad,” music composed and arranged by Donald McCullough with a script by Denny Clark.

(AVON-BY-THE-SEA, NJ) -- Musical icon Frank Sinatra and legendary broadcaster Sid Mark were recently celebrated at a Sunday afternoon special event, which took place at the Avon Marina, 2 Main Street, in Avon-By-the-Sea, NJ.  Alongside a sunny, picturesque view of the Marina, Guest Speakers Brian Mark, Chuck Granata and Dana Polan honored the memory of Sid Mark and chatted about the music and career of Frank Sinatra.

New Jersey Civic Information Consortium Announces Nearly One Million In Grants


(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The New Jersey Civic Information Consortium has announced $990,000 in grants to innovative local news and information programs around the state as part of the organization’s second round of funding.  The recipients include 13 first-time grantees and nine renewals to grantees funded during the Consortium’s initial round last year.
