(OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater presents Something’s Coming, a program of suites from favorite musicals, including George Gershwin’s lyrical and jazzy An American in Paris and Porgy and Bess, Leonard Bernstein’s urban and immortal West Side Story, Sheldon Harnick’s iconic Fiddler on the Roof, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s perennial favorite The Sound of Music and more! Four performances will take place from April 8-10.
Directed and choreographed by Gabriel Chajnik, Something’s Coming will feature the professional members of AXCBT in brand new choreography that celebrates the greatness of their original creators: Gene Kelly, Christopher Wheeldon, and Jerome Robbins.
Performances are Friday, April 8 at 8:00pm; Saturday, April 9 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sunday, April 10 at 3:00pm. Tickets prices are: Premium Adult $54, Premium Senior $49, Regular Adult $42, Student $26, Group $38. Tickets are available for purchase online.
The Axelrod Performing Arts Center offers free on-site parking for all patrons. The parking lot is safe, well-lit, and ample for cars, vans and busses. Designated parking for disabled available close to the theater entrance.
The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is located in suburban Ocean Township, though the theater is close driving distance to restaurants in Deal and Asbury Park. The Bar Room and Kitchen and One 18, both on Norwood Avenue in Deal, are within three minutes of the theater. Downtown Asbury Park is bustling with superb restaurants as well, many of which take reservations for pre-theater dining.
