Chazz Palminteri stars in “A Bronx Tale” at MPAC


(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Chazz Palminteri stars in A Bronx Tale, his acclaimed one-man show that launched him to fame, at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, Friday, April 15 at 8:00pm.  Written and performed by Chazz Palminteri, A Bronx Tale tells the story of Calogero Anello, a young boy from a working class family who gets involved in the world of organized crime. Tickets range from $49-$89.
East Lynne Theater Company presents "Aftermath" as part of Stages Festival


(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- East Lynne Theater Company presents a reading of the one-act play "Aftermath" by Mary P. Burrill for free, due to support from ​The New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Stages Festival.​​​ "Aftermath" premieres on Wednesday, April 6 at 8:00pm on ELTC's YouTube Channel and ​is available through Saturday, April 9 at midnight.
The Ma'ayanot H.S. Drama Society & Black Box Studios Presents "Golden Boy" by Clifford Odets for 10th Anniversary Production


(TEANECK, NJ) --  The Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls' Drama Society, in ongoing partnership with Black Box Studios (and The Black Box Performing Arts Center), presents Golden Boy by Clifford Odets, presented in special arrangement with the Dramatics Play Service, Inc., NY. For this 10th Anniversary season, this group of accomplished high school theater students will perform live on stage from April 7-11 in the new Ma'ayanot Performing Arts Center at 1650 Palisade Avenue, Teaneck.
The Strollers Virtual Stage presents "We're Zoomed!" this weekend


(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Strollers Virtual Stage presents an original children's show entitled, "We're Zoomed!" this weekend.  In the production, five kids are trapped by a Zoom Mastermind - can they find a way out? Join them via Zoom (of course) on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 at 2:00pm to find out. The performances are free, but donations are always appreciated.

12th Annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges to take place June 24-26 in Augusta


(AUGUSTA, NJ) -- Rock & Roll royalty will take center stage at this year’s Rock, Ribs & Ridges music and food festival. Three Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees --- Dave Mason, legendary singer-songwriter Don Felder, and Artimus Pyle --- will be joined by Country Rock pioneer Jim Messina at the 12th annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall from June 24-25-26 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ.

(AVON-BY-THE-SEA, NJ) -- A swingin’ nice and easy special event, featuring the music of Frank Sinatra, is being presented by producer Karen Morris of Sand Castle Communications on Sunday, May 1, 2022, beginning promptly at 12:30pm until 3:00pm, at The Avon Marina Building, 2 Main Street, Avon-By-The-Sea. The theme of the event is Nice 'n’ Easy, which is also the title of a 1960 album and song made popular by Frank Sinatra. 
Buddy Guy to Perform at Wellmont Theater

AOMDT presents An Evening of Love, Music, Dance & Theatre


(RIDGEWOOD, NJ) -- Art of Motion Dance Theatre presents a special night on Sunday, April 3 at the HeART in Motion Studio in Ridgewood. The event features a staged theatrical reading of A.R. Gurney's "Love Letters" starring Sally Ann Tumas-Skoric and Stephen Innocenzi. The program will open with a prelude of music, live vocals featuring Wendy Lane Bailey, and a special dance performance by Janette Dishuk (AOMDT) with guest ballroom partner Arsen Sargsyan. The evening, which runs from 5:00pm to 7:00pm,  will include refreshments, small plates of charcuterie & chocolate, raffle prizes, and post-performance talk back with the actors.

West Windsor Arts Council presents 2022 WWAC Member Show: Horizon


(PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts Council (WWAC) is currently presenting Member Show: Horizon. The exhibit runs now through May 14th. ​​​​​​​A horizon is defined as the limit of a person’s mental perception, experience, or interest. This exhibition aimed for its artists to go beyond the horizon. The juried exhibition includes original artworks for sale featuring 39 different artists.  
Monmouth County Park System to hold Spring Craft Show on April 9th


(TINTON FALLS, NJ) -- On Saturday, April 9, the Monmouth County Park System will host its Spring Craft Show at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, 2566 Guam Lane, Tinton Falls.  This seasonal craft show features local artists and crafters and is the perfect place to find Mother’s Day gifts, spring decorations and more. The event runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Grassroots Group in Englewood Proposes a Public High School for the Arts at Russell C. Major Liberty School


(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Imagine a public high school for the arts serving all of Bergen County.  The Advisors & Supporters, a community based, grassroots group in Englewood, New Jersey, is exploring the possibility of developing a public high school for the arts in the 115-year-old Russell C. Major Liberty School, an architecturally distinguished building located on the historic Five Corners site in the city’s downtown district.  The group launched a website, LibertySchoolfortheArts.org, to imagine this vision featuring videos with exclusive interviews of leading performers and artists, such as Grammy award winning jazz musician Russell Malone, actor and teaching artist Andrea L. Patterson, Broadway actor Rebecca Eichenberger, and others discussing how the arts shaped their lives and can develop another generation.
