Centenary Stage Company Presents 2022 Women Playwrights Series In April


(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company’s Women Playwrights Series returns this spring with three brand-new play readings. Readings will take place on Wednesdays throughout April at 7:30pm in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University. The Women Playwright Series readings are free to attend with donations welcome, advanced reservations have a $5.00 fee.  Centenary Stage Company will also offer a live streaming option accompanying the in-person performances. Live stream access is free to participate with donations appreciated.

Kings Theatre presents Flashback Funk Fest with Morris Day & The Time & Cameo with SOS Band and The Dazz Band


(BROOKLYN, NJ) -- Flashback Funk Fest will hit Kings Theatre on Saturday, July 23. Come get your groove back with Morris Day & The Time and Cameo with SOS Band and The Dazz Band. Show will start at 7:30pm, doors at 6:00pm.  This show was previously scheduled for April 2, 2022. Tickets originally purchased for the April 2 show will be honored for show on July 23, 2022. Kings Theatre is located at 1027 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
Alice in Chains, Breaking Benjamin, and Bush to Perform In Camden


(CAMDEN, NJ) -- Iconic American rock bands Alice In Chains and Breaking Benjamin come together for the first time for a co-headlining tour with special guests Bush to put on an incredible night of rock across the country, making it one of the hottest tours of the summer. The 30-city tour includes a stop in Camden at the Waterfront Music Pavilion on Thursday, August 11th.

This summer’s tour promises to be a full-scale, Lady Gaga pop show featuring fan favorite hits, and the first ever public live performances from the #1 selling, critically-acclaimed, and GRAMMY-winning 2020 album Chromatica. The tour comes to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 11th.
Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch to Present Live Acoustic Blues and Jazz by Pete Wagula


(BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch presents the return of Jersey shore guitarist Pete Wagula in a live performance of acoustic blues, jazz, and bottleneck guitar on Saturday, March 26 at 2:30pm. Wagula’s spring concert marks his first appearance at the Berkeley Branch since 2018. He will feature new, original tunes from his upcoming third solo release, tentatively titled Homecoming.

Chris Rock and Kevin Hart have announced an iconic co-headlining five show run – ROCK HART: ONLY HEADLINERS ALLOWED – taking place this July. The tour includes shows at Prudential Center in Newark, Madison Square Garden in New York City, PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn - all shows take place between July 22-25.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents the 2022 Axelrod Jewish International Film Festival (AJIFF) featuring 7 award-winning, critically-acclaimed, regional premiere films, plus the smash Israeli award-winning television drama, “The Chef.” The festival runs March 20-April 10, 2022. All films for this year’s festival will be screened virtually “from the comfort of your home.
MPAC to Screen "American River" Documentary with Q&A on March 31st


(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- American River, the award-winning new documentary by Scott Morris, will be screened at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown, NJ on Thursday, March 31st at 7:30pm. The film will be presented in-person followed by Q&A with the filmmaker, author Mary Bruno and restoration ecologist Carl Alderson. Suggested Ticket price is $10, but patrons may pay whatever they wish.

Studio Montclair presents “Evanescent!”


(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Studio Montclair has “Evanescent!” on exhibit now through April 8. This exhibit is part of Studio Montclair's Portfolio Series, a curated exhibit intended to take a deep look at a few established artists. It features the artwork of five widely exhibited artists, Rodriguez Calero, Pam Cooper, Danielle Scott, Bryant Small, and Katie Truk, is distinguished by the use of non-traditional approaches to reflect the ebbs and flows of life.

Artist Kelly Sullivan to Re-open Historic Lambertville Theater as Strand Arts: An Enterprising Art House


(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- The historic landmark building, The Strand Theatre, which was destroyed by fire 50 years ago in Lambertville, New Jersey will get a new lease on life courtesy of the local artist, Kelly Sullivan. The iconic theater located on the oldest street in the bustling commercial district of Lambertville is slated to open in Spring 2023 as Strand Arts; An Enterprising Art House. Recreated and reimagined by Sullivan, the revival of the grand old gem solidifies her commitment to creating a high-quality performance/art space for community residents and visitors alike.
RVCC Holocaust Institute to Present Virtual Series for Genocide Awareness Month


In commemoration of Genocide Awareness Month, the Raritan Valley Community College Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies is partnering with World Without Genocide to offer an educational series in April. “Genocide on Our Watch,” a series of virtual presentations, will be held Fridays, April 1, 8, 15, 29, from 10:00am-11:00am, via Zoom.
