Passage Theatre Company to Premiere "Janet Wide Awake: The Hedgepeth-Williams Dream"


(TRENTON, NJ) -- Passage Theatre Company will premiere their newest theatre for families and young audiences production appropriate for ages 10+.  Janet Wide Awake: The Hedgepeth-Williams Dream is an original play written by David Lee White, Richard Bradford, and students at the Hedgepeth-Williams Middle School of the Arts, which tells the true story of Gladys Hedgepth and Berline Williams and their fight for racial equality at the Trenton school formerly known as Junior High No. 2.  Performances run March 31 through April 3 at the Hedgepeth-Williams School, located at 301 Gladstone Ave, Trenton.
Brook Arts Center presents "CLUE, On Stage"


(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- Murder and blackmail are on the menu at the Brook Arts Center in Bound Brook on March 18 through 27, when six mysterious guests assemble for a dinner party at Boddy Manor.  Join them for an interactive theatrical event, as they bring to life the classic board game Clue on stage across two weekends (March 18-20 and March 25-27). Based on the cult 1985 Paramount movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro game, this farce-meets murder- mystery is bloody good fun. 
Luna Re-Opens MainStage This Weekend With Readings of Nikkole Salter’s "Torn Asunder"


(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage will reopen for in-person performances on their MainStage on March 11th, exactly two years after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the temporary closure of their building. The first event in the main space of the professional regional theatre will be a reading of long-term collaborator Nikkole Salter’s play Torn Asunder on March 11th and 12th at 8:00pm, followed by a conversation with the playwright.
The New Jersey Play Lab Selects Six Plays For Development In 2022 Residency Program


The New Jersey Play Lab (NJPL) has selected six plays for development in the company’s 2022 Residency Program. Over the course of the next four to eight months, each play will undergo its own individually designed development process, including dramaturgical guidance and play readings. The end result will be new plays by New Jersey-based writers that are ready for production on New Jersey stages and beyond.
Music Mountain Theatre presents "Moon Over Buffalo" by Ken Ludwig


(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Up next on the Music Mountain Theatre stage will be Moon Over Buffalo ​​​​​​​by Ken Ludwig, running from March 11 through March 27. If you enjoy comedies and farces then Moon Over Buffalo is sure to please with slamming doors, near misses, mistaken identities, and mass confusion! Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00pm.

Ferocious Designs Releases "Domination (feat. Christian Beach & Tariq Mohammed)"


Ferocious Designs, the music project of central New Jersey-based songwriter Brian Kelley, has released “Domination (feat. Christian Beach & Tariq Mohammed),” a track from the upcoming album, Looking for the Light. The song was originally written in 1989 when Kelley was in an Asbury Park, N.J.-based synth-rap band called TMC+The New Generation with longtime friend and singer-songwriter Christian Beach and rapper Tariq Mohammed. 
Vakili Band To Perform at Montclair Brewery on Friday


(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Fronted by powerhouse vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Lily Vakili, Vakili Band released Walking Sideways on February 25, 2022.  Throughout the month, the New Jersey-based band will be performing at female-owned venues, collaborating with female designers for the band’s artwork and merchandise, and donating a portion of their earnings to women-focused not-for-profits. Friday, March 11th will find the band in their hometown of Montclair, NJ, at Montclair Brewery with singer-songwriter Stacia Thiel, and on March 16th they’ll travel to Philadelphia to perform at The Fire with The Royal Fatback and Poppy.
State Theatre New Jersey presents Celtic Woman on St. Patrick's Day


(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the most successful all-female Irish group in history, Celtic Woman in their new show, Postcards from Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 8:00pm. Tickets range from $49-$99.  
Mackenzie Melemed Makes Princeton Symphony Orchestra Debut on March 27th


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Rising pianist Mackenzie Melemed makes his Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) debut performing Alexander Scriabin’s Piano Concerto in F-sharp Minor, Op. 20 on Saturday, March 26 at 8pm and Sunday, March 27 at 4:00pm. The program is balanced by Johannes Brahms’ pastoral Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 73. Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts both concerts at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall, on the campus of Princeton University.
Rowan University's College of Performing Arts presents Rodrigo y Gabriela on April 16th


(GLASSBORO, NJ) -- Rowan University’s College of Performing Arts, home of the Marie Rader Presenting Series, is excited to present GRAMMY® Award-winning Mexican acoustic-rock duo, Rodrigo y Gabriela, at Pfleeger Concert Hall on April 16, 2022 at 8:00pm. Trombonist Mariel Bildsten to Perform at NJ Jazz Society March Virtual Jazz Social


Trombonist Mariel Bildsten moved from Santa Barbara, CA, to New York to study jazz at the New School and remained in New York after graduating in 2015. She is currently the lead trombonist for Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble, and the leader of her own quintet and septet.

Vivid Stage's The Flip Side improv team to perform on March 19th


(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is celebrating spring with a performance by The Flip Side, Vivid’s house Improv team, on March 19 at 8:00pm. All audience members will be asked to show proof of vaccination at the box office. Right now, they are requiring masks for the audience. They will be following current CDC rules on masking as they evolve.
