(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- South Street Players will hold auditions for The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie at Wesley Hall theater on Sunday, February 27 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Tuesday, March 1 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. This is the world's longest-running play - one which has become as much of a London icon as Big Ben or Buckingham Palace.
As news spreads of a murder in London, a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a stately countryside guesthouse. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover – to their horror – that a killer is in their midst! One by one, the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts. Which one is the murderer? Who will be their next victim? Can you solve the mystery before another “mouse” goes SNAP?
The character roles are:
Mollie Ralston - Proprietor of Monkswell Manor, and wife of Giles
Giles Ralston - Husband of Mollie who runs the manor with his wife
Christopher Wren - The first guest to arrive at the hotel
Mrs. Boyle - A critical older woman who is pleased by nothing she observes
Major Metcalf - Retired from the army, little known about him
Miss Casewell - An aloof, masculine woman who speaks offhandedly about her horrific childhood experiences
Mr. Paravicini - A man who turns up claiming his car has overturned in a snowdrift
Detective Sergeant Trotter - The detective role during the play

Performances will take place May 6-8 and May 13-15, 2022 in Wesley Hall, located at the corner of Mercer Avenue and 4th Street in Spring Lake, New Jersey.
