WP Theatre presents "Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney

(WAYNE, NJ) -- William Paterson University Theatre presents Love Letters by A. R. Gurney from March 1-5 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre.  In the play, Andrew Makepeace III and Melissa Gardner have been writing to each other from the time they first met as children.  Sitting at separate tables, these two people share the simple yet remarkable arc of their lives over the passage of time. 

Love, loss, change, joy, sadness, and the vicissitudes of life are revealed in this special, beguiling, and revealing play from the pen of the esteemed playwright A. R. Gurney.

The production is directed by Jerry Beal.

Performances take place March 1, 2, 3, 4 at 7:00pm; March 1 also at 12:15pm; and March 5 at 2:00pm.  Admission is $10 for the general public; $7 WP community and senior citizens. Please note: Hunziker Box Office accepts only CASH on performance days and there will be no late seating for these performances.

William Paterson University is located at 300 Pompton Road in Wayne, New Jersey.

Under the auspices of the Theatre & Comedy faculty of the Communication Department, WP Theatre at William Paterson University presents a varied and ongoing selection of plays, and live comedy. The program offers students from all disciplines the opportunity to participate in and observe the joys of theatre and comedy, and to integrate these art forms into their academic and life experience.

Since 2005 the program has presented Pulitzer Prize-winning plays and other works from some of the most prolific playwrights and musical theatre teams of the past and present. The list includes Proof, Metamorphoses, Art, The Shape of Things, Rabbit Hole, The Baltimore Waltz, The Clean House, Almost Maine, Defying Gravity, What I Did Last Summer, Talking With, Roosters, Quilters, The Rimers of Eldritch, A…My Name is Alice, And the World Goes ‘Round, Antigone, A Thurber Carnival, Topdog-Underdog, Joined at the Head, Reckless, Speaking in Tongues, Tartuffe, The Dining Room, The Heidi Chronicles, Boeing, Boeing, Kimberly Akimbo, When the Rain Stops Falling, Ruined, Clybourne Park, and Blue Window.
