The Jewish Heritage Museum Presents "The Basis of Justice and Ethics: Searching the Genesis of What We Believe and How We Choose as Jews and Americans in the 21st Century" Via Zoom

originally published: 02/14/2022

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County presents a Zoom program, The Basis of Justice and Ethics: Searching the Genesis of What We Believe and How We Choose as Jews and Americans in the 21st Century with Rabbi Dr. Brooks Susman. This is a three-part series running Sunday, March 6th, March 27th, and April 24th at 2:00pm.

Admission is $3 members and $5 non-members. To make a reservation and receive the Zoom link, you can call the Museum at 732-252-6990, email [email protected], or visit www.jhmomc.org.

Through this three-part lecture series, Rabbi Brooks Susman strives to answer questions surrounding decision-making. Rabbi Dr. Susman will elaborate on if Jewish thought and tradition influences how Jewish-Americans vote, the philosophical and historical reflection on morals in the decade, and which voice to listen to when decision-making.

Now retired, he is the founding Rabbi of Congregation Kol Am in Freehold. Rabbi Susman is a Community Chaplain and volunteer on the Freehold Township Human Relations Council. He is also an adjunct professor at Brookdale Community College where he teaches philosophy, history, and bible as literature.

Funding has been made possible in part by a general operating support grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a Division of the Department of State, through grant funds administered by the Monmouth County Historical Commission.
