(MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission presents the extraordinary Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company performing their bold, technical and dramatic dance ensemble on Sunday, March 6 at 4:00pm at the Monroe Township High School Performing Arts Center. This highly acclaimed ensemble is known for their artistic excellence and interaction with audiences.

The show will feature Dorfman’s dynamic new work and repertory favorites including excerpts of the vibrant PRIMAI, the newest piece commissioned by Ocean County College and the Gia Maione Prima Foundation. This versatile dance group explores the robust, driving sound of Louis Prima and his band with the powerful virtuosic, expressive voices of Prima’s female lead singers, Gia Maione Prima and Keely Smith. Also on the program is the whirling Pastorale Pause an audience favorite; Waves, an eclectic celebration of movement and sound, and Cat’s Cradle. In addition, the program features The Legacy Project, which celebrates Dorfman’s Eastern European Jewish roots, its trials, triumphs and treasured commonalitiesacross cultures and the globe.

Tickets are $25 (General Admission) and $20 for Patrons. Tickets are available for purchase online. Children and Monroe Students FREE (with current ID). *Proof of vaccination is required for admittance for all audience members regardless of age. (All Carolyn Dorfman Dance staff, dancers and crew are vaccinated.) Documentation will be checked at the door. Medical grade masks (no cloth) are required to be worn by all non-performing persons at all times while indoors.

The Monroe Township High School Performing Arts Center is located at 200 Schoolhouse Road in Monroe Township, New Jersey.

Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund.
