5) Flux plays at the opening screening of the Spring 2022 New Jersey Film Festival! - Cléa van der Grijn’s Flux is an experimental short film that’s being shown at the New Jersey Film Festival on Friday, January 28th, 2022. The film explores themes such as death, loss, and the self-reflection that naturally occurs when one is isolated. The music in the background is in the style of Sean-nós, a traditional Irish style of a capella usually performed in the Irish language. This choice of music incorporated the Irish heritage of Cléa van der Grijn into the film as well as added to its ghostly nature; the slow and controlled vocals of the Sean-nós added an element of darkness as well as spirituality that captures the viewer’s attention. Cléa van der Grijn has said that she tries to understand the culture of death and loss through her art, and that definitely comes through in Flux.

6) Riverside Gallery presents "Movement Recovery" by Tai Woong Kang - (HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Painter and Professor Tai Woong Kang’s solo art exhibition Movement Recovery is on view at the Riverside Gallery in Hackensack from January 29th to February 12th. The exhibition consists of abstract paintings that explore the original state of humanity as harmony with nature and the cosmos, thereby exposing the fallacies of fast-paced modernity.
