(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- art629 Gallery, located at 629 Cookman Ave in the heart of downtown Asbury Park, is presents their latest exhibition, "Floral Muse", showcasing artwork in a variety of media by 18 artists. The exhibition has an Opening Reception on Saturday, March 23 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm and will be on display until May 27, 2024.

New York Times Photojournalist Michelle V. Agins Makes Museum Debut at the Zimmerli

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Michelle V. Agins, whose images tell unforgettable stories about life in America, was the second Black woman ever hired as a staff photographer at The New York Times. She built her career at a time when photo editors gave very few assignments to women—much less to women of color.

Artist Jacoub Reyes' Culturally Rich Solo Exhibition Opens at Kean University

(UNION, NJ) -- Artist Jacoub Reyes recently unveiled his site-specific art installation, Esconderte del mundo y en ti mismo esconderte, meaning "hide from the world and hide in yourself," at Kean University. A brilliant transformation of space, Reyes delivers an experience steeped in the history of Puerto Rico's sugar plantation system.

The Newark Museum of Art presents The Story of Newark Fashion: Atelier to Runway

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The Newark Museum of Art (NMOA) presents The Story of Newark Fashion: Atelier to Runway from February 22 through June 2. In development since 2021, this is the Museum's first large-scale exhibition dedicated to contemporary American fashion. Bringing together loans from prestigious public and private collections, The Story of Newark Fashion features the work of 11 fashion designers with Newark connections.

Princeton University Library presents largest U.S. retrospective of the work of Ulises Carrión to date

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton University Library (PUL) presents "Ulises Carrión: Bookworks and Beyond," the spring exhibition in the Ellen and Leonard Milberg Gallery at Firestone Library. Curated by Sal Hamerman, Metadata Librarian for Special Collections at PUL, and Javier Rivero Ramos, a recent Ph.D graduate from the Department of Art & Archaeology, who is now Assistant Curator at Art Bridges Foundation in Arkansas, the exhibition opens on February 21, 2024 and runs through June 13, 2024.

New Noyes Galleries Exhibit in Hammonton Focuses on Planet's Ecological Future

(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- Four artists concerned about the ecological future of the country and the planet have pooled their artwork together for a new exhibit at the Noyes Galleries at Stockton University's Kramer Hall. The group exhibit, titled "Our House is on Fire," features the work of Princeton's Judy Brodsky and three artists from Pennsylvania — Linda Dubin Garfield, of Bala Cynwyd; Pamela Tudor, of Philadelphia; and Elsa Wachs, of Wynnewood. The free exhibit will run from February 14 to May 17.
