In Romeo and Juliet, stage combat plays a pivotal part in the show—most notably with the duels between Mercutio and Tybalt, and later Tybalt and Romeo. These scenes are not just action-packed moments; they are critical turning points that heighten tension, and ultimately lead to the tragic consequences of the feud between the Montagues and Capulets.
