Spring Improv Class Is Online for Adults and Teens at Dreamcatcher

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, is offering a virtual improv class this spring for adults and teens aged 18 and up. The class will be held Monday  evenings from 7:30pm-9:30pm for eight weeks starting April 5 and ending May 24. The cost is $280.


West Windsor Arts Council Unites Laughter with Art at March 13th Gala

(PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts Council is serious about its mission to transform lives through the arts, which is exactly why it is hosting a virtual comedy show on Saturday, March 13th as its Annual Gala and Art Auction for 2021. The nonprofit chose humor as the theme for the event because in times like these, we could all use a good laugh.  The event runs from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.



NJPAC Presents Eddie Izzard in a Global Online Conversation with Elliot Forrest

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Eddie Izzard in a Global Online Conversation with Elliot Forrest on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 9:00pm. Eddie, who recently changed her pronouns, talks with Peabody Award-winning host Elliott Forrest about her life, work and dreams. Eddie will also answer questions from you, the audience.



Mike Marino To Perform In Red Bank On March 20th

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents comedian Mike Marino on Saturday, March 20 at 7:00pm.  Marino – affectionately known to millions of his fans worldwide as New Jersey’s Bad Boy – is one of the most loved comedians of our time. The performance takes place at the Pop-Up Stage at the Hackensack Meridan Health Theatre with limited seating (150).  Tickets are $45.



The Vogel Presents Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson On January 30

Don Jamieson(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents comedian Jim Florentine with opening act Don Jamieson on Saturday, January 30th at 7:00pm. The Vogel, a two-level, balconied performance space, is part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.  The venue has strict safety and social distancing measures in place due to covid-19.Tickets are $29.

The class will be held Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm-9:30pm for eight weeks starting January 12 and ending March 2. The cost is $280.



MPAC Presents Manhattan Comedy Night on November 27

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents Manhattan Comedy Night on Friday, November 27 with shows at 6:00pm and 8:30pm. The lineup includes  Buddy Fitzpatrick, Richie Burns and Billy Garan.  Due to the pandemic, MPAC is still allowed to operate with a capacity for 150 people. Tickets are $30.   



Dreamcatcher Premieres The Flip Side: Halloween Improv

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre will premiere its virtual improv show, The Flip Side: Halloween, on Facebook on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00pm. The 30-minute performance is free, and after its debut it will be available on www.dreamcatcherrep.org along with all previous virtual Flip Side shows.



Lewis Black's "Thanks For Risking Your Life" To Be Released October 6

TLB Records has announced the release of its inaugural comedy special with the incomparable Lewis Black's Thanks For Risking Your Life, out October 6 via Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, and Vudu. The audio will also release via all digital platforms.



Kevin Hart To Perform September 6-8 At Concerts In The Garden at Blu Grotto

(OCEANPORT, NJ) -- Kevin Hart will perform seven stand-up comedy shows from September 6-8 as part of Concerts In The Garden at Blu Grotto in Monmouth Park. Concerts In The Garden at the Blu Grotto are produced by The Basie Presents and UMT Presents. The shows, originally scheduled for September 3-4, now include three additional performances due to demand for tickets.
